At Shomthit, we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our handmade products. Each item is carefully created with attention to detail and love. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not happy with your order, we are here to help.
Please read this Return Policy carefully to understand your rights and obligations regarding returns, exchanges, and refunds. Due to the handmade and often custom nature of our products, some special conditions apply.
Return Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following conditions:
- The item must be unused, unworn, and in the same condition that you received it
- The item must be in its original packaging with all tags attached
- You must have proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt)
- The return request must be initiated within 14 days of receiving your order
- The item must not be a custom or personalized product (see Custom Orders section)
Non-Returnable Items
Due to the nature of our handmade products and hygiene considerations, certain items cannot be returned unless they are defective or damaged upon arrival:
- Custom or personalized orders made to your specifications
- Items marked as final sale or clearance
- Earrings and other pierced jewelry for hygiene reasons
- Items that have been used, worn, washed, or altered
- Gift cards or digital products
- Sale items (unless defective)
Custom Orders
Custom and personalized orders are made specifically for you according to your requirements. Once production has begun on a custom order, it cannot be cancelled or returned unless there is a defect or error on our part.
We highly recommend reviewing all custom order details, including measurements, colors, materials, and personalization text, before confirming your order. We will provide proof or sketches for approval when applicable before beginning production.
If there is an error in a custom order due to incorrect information provided by us or if the item is defective, we will gladly remake the item or provide a full refund.
Return Process
To initiate a return, please follow these steps:
Step 1: Contact Us
Contact us within 14 days of receiving your order by email at info@shomthit.world or by phone at +31 6 12345678. Please include:
- Your order number
- The name of the item(s) you wish to return
- The reason for the return
- Photos if the item is damaged or defective
Step 2: Await Approval
We will review your return request and respond within 2 business days. If your return is approved, we will provide you with return shipping instructions and a return authorization number.
Step 3: Ship the Item
Pack the item securely in its original packaging if possible. Include your return authorization number and order details. Ship the item to the address provided. We recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we cannot guarantee receipt of returned items without tracking.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is defective, damaged, or we sent the wrong item. In such cases, we will provide a prepaid shipping label or reimburse your return shipping costs.
Step 4: Inspection
Once we receive your returned item, we will inspect it to ensure it meets our return eligibility criteria. This process typically takes 3-5 business days after we receive the item.
Refunds
If your return is approved after inspection, we will process your refund. The refund will be issued to your original method of payment. Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.
Refund Amount
Your refund will include the purchase price of the item(s) returned. The following are not refundable:
- Original shipping costs (unless the item is defective or we made an error)
- Return shipping costs (unless the item is defective or we made an error)
- Any gift wrapping or special packaging fees
Partial Refunds
In some cases, only partial refunds may be granted:
- Items showing obvious signs of use or wear
- Items not in original condition or missing tags
- Items returned more than 14 days after delivery
- Items with minor imperfections characteristic of handmade goods that were disclosed at the time of purchase
Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges at this time. If you would like a different size, color, or item, please return your original purchase following our return process and place a new order for the desired item.
To ensure you receive the item you want, we recommend placing your new order once you have confirmed that your original item has been shipped back to us. We cannot guarantee availability of items, especially for limited edition or seasonal products.
Damaged or Defective Items
While we take great care in packaging and shipping our products, sometimes items may arrive damaged. If your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us immediately with photos of the damage.
What We Need
Please provide the following information:
- Your order number
- Clear photos of the damaged item and packaging
- A description of the damage or defect
- Date you received the item
Resolution
For damaged or defective items, we will offer one of the following solutions:
- A full refund including original shipping costs
- A replacement item at no additional charge
- Store credit for the full amount including shipping
We will cover all return shipping costs for damaged or defective items by providing a prepaid shipping label.
Wrong Item Sent
If you receive the wrong item, please contact us immediately. We will arrange for the correct item to be sent to you at no additional charge and provide a prepaid return label for the incorrect item.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will do our best to resolve the situation quickly and to your satisfaction.
Lost or Stolen Packages
Once your order has been shipped and marked as delivered by the shipping carrier, Shomthit is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. We recommend:
- Tracking your shipment using the tracking number provided
- Arranging for someone to be home to receive the package
- Requesting signature confirmation at checkout if available
- Providing delivery instructions or an alternative address if needed
If your package shows as delivered but you have not received it, please check with neighbors, household members, or your building management. If you still cannot locate it, contact the shipping carrier directly to file a claim.
We will assist you in any way we can, but please understand that we cannot be held responsible for packages that have been confirmed as delivered by the carrier.
International Returns
For international orders, the return process is the same, but please note:
- Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
- We recommend using a tracked shipping method
- You are responsible for any customs fees or import duties on the return shipment
- International returns may take longer to process due to shipping times
- Refunds will be processed in the original currency of your purchase
Handmade Product Variations
Please understand that all our products are handmade and may have slight variations from the images shown on our website. These variations may include:
- Minor differences in color, size, or pattern
- Natural variations in materials such as wood grain, stone patterns, or fabric texture
- Slight imperfections that add to the unique character of handcrafted items
These characteristics are inherent to handmade products and are not considered defects. Returns based solely on these natural variations will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

To maintain the quality and longevity of your handmade items, please follow any care instructions provided with your purchase or on our product pages. Items that have been damaged due to improper care or use may not be eligible for return or refund.
